The current lineup of Bare Bay was formed last November when bassist Max joined and rescued guitarist Jeffrey and drummer Chung Ho from the bass-less abyss in which they dwelled for two eternities. Stunted by real life agonies regarding his love life, guitarist Jeffrey had lost all hope and had since refused to develop as a person. Taking a striking turn away from producing English numbers, the band began writing songs in Cantonese, amassing quite an audience online with their catchy hooks and relatable lyrics with a niche, strictly spoken Chinese style. Definitely not punk enough. Get your mental fasteners ready as Bare Bay hits the stage and transports you back to your Chinese grandma's wuxia drama era with their no.1 hit 'I'll Be A Nujeanz Magnet In My Next Life', and be bounced back straight into the 90's with their woeful, lamenting number 'Your Mom Went And Played Soccer Without Me'. They also have a handful of English originals, all of which are total blasts.
