Featuring some of the leading Hong Kong folk musicians, the Black Velvet Collective (BVC) has built a reputation for creating songs and soundscapes that update the traditions of British, Celtic and Canadian folk music. Having actively performed in the growing folk scene here in Hong Kong, including show stopping sets at the What The Folk Festival and Lamma Folk in 2021, a BVC show is a mix of fun and reflection.
The launch of our first album of all original songs in 2022, brings a blend of the traditional to stories that reflect life in Hong Kong and
beyond- stories to make one smile one moment and reflect on life the next.
To mark the launch of the album Sunset Peak, BVC is available for ‘an audience with...’ where the band introduce the songs and
the stories behind them plus reveals the writing and recording process with a mixture of playing the recorded material and/or performing the
songs in an acoustic manner.
This interactive and highly engaging event blended with songs for all generations is a unique experience everyone will enjoy.
Black Velvet Collective （BVC）由幾位香港頂尖民謠音樂人組成，以其歌曲及聲音景觀創作為名，甚能捕捉英國、北歐和加拿大傳統民謠色彩。BVC 表演揉合樂趣與反思，活躍於香港民謠表演，包括2021年的What The Folk Festival 及Lamma

BVC 2022年推出第一隻創作大碟，為聽眾帶來融合傳統與香港生活的故事，聽著，笑著，然後反思生活。
《Sunset Peak》大碟中，BVC 另外錄製「an audience with…」，由樂隊介紹歌曲與其背後的故事、創作時的心路歷程，與歌曲的不同錄音表演版本。
